This is a teeny squishy version of the gargoyle I recently released, made by scanning the original with my phone’s LiDAR scanner and 3D printing a (mini) mold based on that! Spent the last few days working on a super unique and super secret project for a very special friend… I can’t show much of anything *yet* for obvious reasons but it has been a lovely learning experience with lots of trial and error!!! No better way to learn then to try stuff out and see what works!!

Paint attempt #2!!! So so happy with this one, airbrush+cordsprayers was the way to go!!

A fella! A little guy!! Here’s the little latex gargoyle/creature I sculpted and cast! Vaguely based off an unrelated drawing by the incredibly talented @soapmoss.bsky.social, I’m still working on the paint style (this was done via brush, will be airbrush eventually!) but overall I’m pretty happy!!

Just finished up my first *successful* larger-scale plaster mold!!! What’ll it be, what’ll it be….. the latex is dwelling as I type!! 🎃☠️🐶

Had a bit of a catastrophe today. Went to mold my favorite sculpt ever to make into a product, and ended up destroying everything (including the sculpt) in the process. It’s devastating to say the least, I loved this little fella so much. Hoping I can get the courage to resculpt them one day 💔💔💔

Alright, first new cool thing I’ve been working on: this guy! Hand sculpted in clay, molded in silicone, and then cast in resin… there was a LOT of trial and error in making this little fella but I’m really happy with how this proof-of-concept turned out!! Oh, and the “cauldron” is a salsa bowl… 🎃☠️🐶

So sorry there hasn’t been many updates here!! I’ve been working away on some really neat ideas, and I even may be vending at a local market in a few months!! Also, I purchased some stickers to include in orders (when I start selling!!) and to hand out to folks, which I’m super excited about!

OKAY OKAY, SO: I am incredibly excited to announce that Play Dead has an actual logo now!! It was designed by @hirothedragon.bsky.social, who replicated the idea I had in my head pretty much verbatim (with stuff I didn’t even think of!!) and I’m just so so happy with it, massive thank you to him!!!
