prototyping a HUD for teleporters, edge of screen transitions, etc. When a player approaches something i want them to know where they are going, it shows an arrow and where it goes at the bottom of screen! Should hopefully help a lot of playtesters feel less lost. #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart

And that's another ability implemented, now with the sword sprites done it's open season to start working on the strenght path ability kit properly, giving them an AOE and ways to debuff the enemies. (Ignore the hero not having a combat animation sprite yet) #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart

Npcs can now interact with scene objects! Here's a super simple set up of a farmer setting up their stalls in the morning to sell product for the day. This will be one of many many many NPCs that i hope bring my world alive. #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart

New combat start animation! little grid preview as if it's generating over the battlefield. Finds all the tiles starting from the player and then animates it with a bunch of variations! Instantly also flashes enemies, allies and props. #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart

Next up! Idle behaviour. If the player is afk for over 5 seconds near a ''behaviour'' spot, the companions will walk over to the spot and play a predetermined interaction. #gamedev #indiedev

Time to make the alchemy system, canibalized my inventory list to show only the consumables, wired up some really simple buttons so you can add up to 4 ingedients and try mixing them. Now i gotta figure out the best way to discover recipes.
