Always anxious about writing dialog, as someone who hates dialog tags with a passion. Copious amount of he said / she said have always rubbed me as a reader the wrong way; like the author doesn't think I'm smart enough to follow a conversation. So I try to experiment with how I present it #booksky

I feel like the other four senses don't get enough attention in descriptive writing. Technically you typically engage all five senses to interact with the world, it just feels like sight takes center stage most often. There's some creative things you can write with the other four #booksky

I feel like coming up with a magic system is more about readability than being unique. Like you can be as unique as you want but if only you can grasp it at its basic level readers aren't gonna care its unique. Right? Everything starts feeling like "Random Bullshit Go!" after a lil bit #booksky
