My CE of Momodora - Moonlight Farewell showed up a little while ago. If you enjoy Metroidvanias, you're doing yourself a disservice by not playing this dev's games. They're all fantastic, and I've posted about them when I beat them. Minoria is unrelated to Momodora but great as well.

One of the games I'm most excited for this year is Code Vein II. I loved the first game. Of course I had to nab the Collector's Edition for the statue to go with my other two Code Vein statues.

#JustBeatIt #Tormentor, same folks that did Agony and Succubus. You play as a torturer (Tormentor and Bloody Mary) for an evil syndicate. It has a lot of connections with story and characters from their previous games. Took about 4 hours. If you enjoy their other games, should with this one too.

#JustBeatIt #FinalFantasyTactics The Ivalice Chronicles. I bought the original game day 1, and got this remaster day 1 - even though I didn't get to it until now. It's one of the best in the genre and the remaster really made it that much better. I'm really happy this game got this treatment.

#JustBeatIt #Absolum, and indie rogue-lite beat 'em up by the folks that made Streets of Rage 4. Think SoR4 crossed with Hades. I played through the entire game co-op with a friend and got the true ending - and we had a blast. Game-play is so good! Everything else about it was too.

I went to the theater to see Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair last night. This was both movies put together as one, with an additional animated scene with O-ren, the the Crazy 88 fight is shown in color. I love Kill Bill and this was a great time. No home release or Streaming has been announced.

Recent watches: Copenhagen Cowboy - Nicolas Winding Refn series. Loved it's style and music. Story was solid but wtf ending. Also Hideo Kojima out of nowhere. My kind of pretentious. Very good. The Summer Hikaru Died - Enjoyed Fargo - Never saw before, really good. The Dark Tower - Enjoyed

#JustBeatIt #LostRuins A neat indie Metroidvania. It's a slow and methodical, but lots of weapon and magic options makes for a fun experience. The pixel art is great and it has a lot of cute anime monsters and bosses. Story was interesting too. I got the good ending.

#JustBeatIt #Dispatch This game was phenomenal. Ex-Telltale folks along with Critical Role folks. Voice actors, characters, and the story makes this game special. Everything else about it is great too. I played through twice for both romance options. This deserves to be on goty lists.

Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy - November 15th, 2025 @ Orpheum Theater, Minneapolis, MN Second leg of this tour that I went to Chicago to see earlier this year. They did not playing Dancing Mad this time (bummer!) but did include vocalist Amanda Achen.

Tonight I saw Virgin Punk Clockwork Girl at a theater. It's the latest OVA by Yasuomi Umetsu (Kite, Mezzo Forte). It was awesome! Excellent fluid animation, great music - but the action is what really does it and it is crazy. I had the theater to myself. Sadly only 30 minutes. I hope they do more.

Half in the Bag: Halloween Hangover (2025)

#JustBeatIt #TormentedSoulsII A solid follow-up to the first game, both being old school feeling survival horror but with a modern look. I had a lot of fun with it, but still my only real complaint is the a bunch of the puzzles are just way too obscure to solve - I have to use a guide for them.

I hate having to wait a year and a half for the Tomb Raider 1-3 collectors edition, but happy it's finally here. Main highlight is the pistol display shadow box, basically what made me order this version. And the figures too. Comes with the other obligatory CE staples.

Recent game pickups over the last few months. Currently playing Tormented Souls 2. Power Rangers and Absolum are for some couch coop with a friend. FF Tactics Remaster 'cause yeah! I love Tomb Raider so this collection made sense. And TLoU season 2 because I gotta have it. Also Silksong digitally.
