Every time I go full #DavinciResolve, I end up feeling like I'm trading my sports car for a heavy duty truck. Yeah, you can do it all, but as a daily driver it's quite taxing in comparison. My solution, keep the truck for the heavy jobs, use the sports car for my daily driver. Best of both worlds.

I loved @Superman. But some of the VFX did look a little undercooked. Now, the story, characters, pacing allowed me to look past it. And I hate the "anti-CGI" nonsense. But there is a reason why a film 10+ years ago, like Man of Steel, might have "better" looking CGI. 🧵1/4

Can someone verify a bug in #Resolve20 Studio I'm experiencing? When I import 720p h.264 proxy file of A7s3 footage captured at 60fps into a 23.976fps timeline, playback is 1 frame per second. Currently re-rendering proxies in ProRes (what they should be anyways). #postchat

#Resolve20 is it. It's the NLE you've ever wanted plus more. Hands down, where it falls short is so minuscule over what it does a 100x better over the competition. I recommend you learn it as agencies are already making the switch.

How can anyone say that #Resolve20's new speed ramping is better than it was before. Previously, you had a curve editor in the context of the clip, now it's a separate window with a separate playhead. And it takes 8 clicks that used to be 2 to access. #postchat

Just had a flashback to the days when we were shooting our Discovery show on Canon T2i's and 5D Mark 2's and we had to use Cinestyle camera profile to get something remotely good from it.

Disney+ done. Hulu done. Netflix done. Amazon Prime done. Only streamers that remain active for 2025 is Discovery+ and AppleTV+. This year’s goal: continue purchasing and building digital library. Hulu is the only one at risk of returning due to wife’s shows. We’ll see.
