They aren't going to reopen the government until they can bring it back as a completely new format beholden to their fascist authoritarianism. Yhe government that reopens won't be the same one that shut down. They'll say it's broken beyond repair (which they did) and needs to be entirely recreated.

Why aren't the old guard Democrats, particularly "leadership", being hounded and called out on a daily basis for failing to retaliate? If anything they're standing in the way. I'm almost as angry with them as with Republicans (almost).

Dems should fight on every front. If Texas steals 5 seats, Dem states should redistrict 30 GOP members out of their districts. We should insist DOJ release the entire Epstein File. Not only shouldn't we bring knives to a gun fight, if they bring pistols, we should bring machine guns.
