I am falling from the pure and teaching the cats bad language. I say to Vince would you like some mousse but refer to it as "moussey mousse" and a bit of me cringes and dies inside. Vincent van Scoff just eats his moussey mousse with its cascade of gravy and tries his best to nick Mayas after.

Today is Vince Clotho's "Got you" day. Its been a fun year with this one and I suspect he is the reincarnation of a Tasmanian devil. Brilliant little cat though and much loved.

Just getting myself sorted before driving off when a car came up behind me with headlights on and illuminated what you see here. It gave me a right fright for a second as I thought I was being observed by silent masked weirdos. It turned out to be the head protectors on the seats. 😂

In 1583, 442 years ago to this day, Doctor John Dee was traveling across Europe. He had just reached Hamburg in the late evening. I would imagine that he along with Kelley, Jane and Joanna probably went for a curry and sample the fine European beers after he arrived after such a long journey.

If anything has been hard to photo, my lampshade has been Hope these capture its nature as a mix between organic forms and eldritch science. I think it captures the right amount of bonkers spookiness and this is just a prototype really for me to unleash my imagination.

This is Maya my beautiful Halloween cat. She is made of magic, dark matter and dreamies.

Picked 2Kg of chillies at lunchtime. Going to ripen the jalapenos off the plant and make smoked chipotle, dry some for powder and freeze the rest.

Quite happy with the bao buns I made for dinner last night. These are packed with Mongolian lamb, chilli pickled carrots and cucumber and topped with coriander.

I didnt take many photos today because I was busy but made some (hopefully) fine pieces. The orange pieces at the top in the first picture are actually green and yellow and are a bauble and a witchbottle for a friend.

Decided to stop waiting for the one ring to pass to me and slipped into Mordor to make my own whilst Sauron is on his holidays. Once it is cool the lettering and calibration can begin. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

So happy to see things come out of the centrifuge like this. Just pippette off the clarified goodies.

Brilliant day of alchemy. This is a universal fluid condenser and I am going to have a lot of fun with the contents of this flask.

Today is black cat appreciation day and Maya is the bestest black cat of them all.

Someone described me as a cross between Tigger and Doctor Who. I like that.

I have noticed a new text msg scam going around. I get a text message with a vague comment like "Dad, its me - this is a new number" obvs relying on people to reply saying its a wrong number. It draws on peoples social responsibility to be nice but when you think about it, its obviously a scam.

They are getting rounder. I can now shape perfect circles with my hands like proper pizzamancers (is that the term?) but I lose it in rotating the pizza so need more polentia on the paddle so I dont squeeze it.

So it begins. I wonder how hot these cherry bombs will be? The mild ones when pickled are basically peppadews. But hot ones, cored and then filled with mozzarella or feta and roasted are amazing.

Mega proud of this one. It’s a cider sourdough with lemon verbena and rosemary herbs added, all fresh from the garden. Very very nice with perfect crumb and taste. Bonus is the kitchen smells all lemony now. It’s going to make some brilliant toast tomorrow morning.

Met up early with some friends to climb the Tor. I had a bag of dried mugwort to give to some friends there and arrived early so at 3:30am in the morning was walking up and down Glastonbury carrying a bag like this. In retrospect that couldnt have looked dodgy in the least. 😂🤣
