The Tigers have, at least for now, moved on from reliever Alex Lange.

Dugan Darnell, 28, is from Northville and pitched at Adrian College. He debuted with Colorado last season. Lange, former Tigers' closer, made it back to the big leagues for one game last season after recovering from lat surgery. He was arbitration eligible.

The Tigers today claimed RHP Dugan Darnell off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates. To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Alex Lange has been designated for assignment.
