I've been learning GPR the last few days. It's going good to get some pretty heavy use on my thesis site.

As a "young" (time in the field not age) archaeologist, I gave my first guest lecture today on using Small Uncrewed Aircraft System (sUAS) in Archaeology. It was fun. I am still not super confident giving presentations though. I guess at some point I will work through that.

Hey all, I guess it's customary to do an introduction post. So here's mine. My name is Conan and I am working on my MA in Anthropology at Louisiana State University. Before I decided to go back to school to get my BA, I had a previous life doing something completely different.

When the State Archaeologist asks for help, I have to answer. This is my second time on this site excavating test units. This is a very interesting site that is a 1300-1600 CE shell midden but there is likely an earlier, probably CE 0-500 occupation of the terrace as well.
