First Cocteau Twins album I heard (I think in 1999) and still my favourite. It’s perfect.

I was lucky to see The Clientele four in 2023/24 (SF, Seattle; Philadelphia, NYC) and at least the last two shows opened with “Garden Eye Mantra” it was brilliant and heavy. Maybe my favourite active band now that Saint Etienne are closing up shop.

Absolutely the best account I follow on here.

I especially like “Blow Away (for Bill)” and “Egypt”

The last minute or so of this is still one of the most thrilling and terrifying sounds I know. I’ve been listening to it for 25 years and I’m still spooked by it.

Dionne Warwick “My Greatest Hits” and it’s all Bacharach/David (except one). Just a perfect set of songs and you can find it in dollar bins still.

Ridiculous and wonderful record

I guess I’ve been listening to this for 22 years now, and still feel like I haven’t figured it out. Was lucky enough to see this tour at Richards on Richards that fall.
