Research Professor of Strategic Foresight @VTT | emerging tech | strategy | innovation | policy
Still interesting that this is a suprise. A country with decades of systemic policies to leverage tech and to become the tech leader of the world will actually then also benefit from it.

Seems like

scenarios where Trump creates more permanent changes everywhere else than the US is closer. Hungary protests, German/European rearming, Portugal on F-35s, Canada...the list goes on.

Just wondering, with the US losing to China on trade partners, allies and influence e.g. In Africa, how can they actively try to sabotage the remaining alliances?

Well this is alarming! Unsure what is gained by scrubbing data. Also, does the below mean changing data ex-post and basically making it unusable in science " Removing some identifiers from years of data would make it impossible to study certain communities and prevent any analysis in the future"

Met President Jimmy Carter in Feb of 2017 while a Fulbright scholar. Still remember his talk, focusing on what binds us together. Inspiring talk that still resonates. By the way,
#Carter
was a tech visionary â pioneered data automation in government and installed solar panels on the White House.

@vttfinland.bsky.social
organized a morning coffee on strategic foresight. While we know that foresight has impact, how to make it more actionable sparked a interesting discussion.
