I made it! Will post other pictures in th thread. This hike was to the site of a plane crash from back in 1953. Pieces of wreckage still litter the area. It’s quite a hike. The view from the top is beautiful, the vibe is surreal and quite somber.

It was a beautiful day for a drive to nowhere. A drive without a destination, just me and the music, is just what the doctor ordered. I love to see the changing of the leaves, dread the arrival of the snow, but looking forward to Spring rolling around again. Until then, I'll enjoy what I can.

Storytime: When I was 8 years old, I fell asleep on the top bunk. I woke up on the bottom bunk. I had rolled off, hit the floor, didn't wake up. My parents just placed me onto the bottom bunk to continue sleeping. These days, if a feather falls to the floor I am guaranteed to wake up. 🤣

I feel this to my core. I've made some really poor choices in the name of love. I fall too hard, I love too hard, I ignore red flags - but we're in my era of breaking cycles, thankfully.

Apparently suit shopping did wonders for me. I slept late for the first time in months and I am not mad about it. Almost 10am before I woke. 🥰

So, the tired man decided after lunchtime to hit the highway. My bank account says "ouch!" But this suit is now mine, as well as two additional dress shirts and a new pair of shoes. I think I am moving into my suit wearing era. Tired man is even more tired tonight. Hopefully that means sleep!

It's 1:17am. I crave sleep but it doesn't crave me. I just cannot get used to sleeping alone. I need a permanent snuggle buddy. I've been trying to sleep for a few hours already. Was hoping to head to the city tomorrow to get away, buy a suit and some shoes. But I'll be too tired for the drive, 🤣

Today is all about self care. That includes taking care of the bags under my eyes, some grooming, some fresh air, and hopefully good food. (Hopefully all followed with some downtime for good conversation after an emotional and hectic weekend.) Happy Monday, you beautiful folx!

It's been two or three days, Bluesky. Things have been a little heavy with a loss in my family. I have been taking some time to both grieve and celebrate. Ironically, the loss of this loved one has given me reason to lift my chin and focus on things that will bring me joy. Gotta keep on livin'!

I have regrets. I tried to shave a few hairy patches from my back this morning. I went from having regular hairy patches to ... really awkward hairy patches? Oh, the trials and tribulations of getting used to the single life. Thankfully no one is seeing this in person. 😂
