Sabbatical vibes- chilling with the girls

I started a sabbatical on September 1st, with a bit of a slow start thanks to a parting gift of Covid from one of the (grown) kids I left in Vancouver. Now in week 2, I've started reading many papers, learning command-line genomics, and wow, my brain is awake!

🧪 I've been thinking about the sum total of knowledge accumulated by researchers about their study systems/ species, and what is lost when a study system goes research-dormant. Is there a place for this knowledge? Kind of like a dating app but with profiles of cool study systems.
