Guess what, concept were also done in Blender! I saw a lot of potential in using blender and grease pencil for production. But at the time, not many 2D artists or animators, were working in Blender. So most of the shots ended up being pretty standard 2d shots. #b3d #greasepencil

I reached a point where I had to reconsider where I was investing my energy. I decided it was time to slow down and reset, especially since I felt like platforms and even other artists were having too much sway over my creative direction.

Back in 2022, I hit a wall with social media. I was burned out from constantly trying to keep up with ever-shifting algorithms—and after my 150k TikTok account was banned for no clear reason, I knew something had to change.

A few studies of samurai armor sets I did some time ago, as you can see the pattern continues. These days, most of my time is split between work, a short film I’ve been developing my life drawing adventures.

At first, I thought this project came out of nowhere—but looking back, there were definitely hints of that fascination popping up in my older work

This piece is from way back in 2014. It definitely hasn’t aged the best, but I’m still really fond of it. It kind of kicked off a whole project that I’ll be sharing soon. I’ve always been drawn to Japan and Asian culture in general.
