Every once in a while I feel the need to paint something to remind people that there are defenders of books, especially the ones that exist to give strength and comfort to marginalized youth. An ORDINARY owl might not be able to remove a bigots hand. Do not try Library Owl, however.

I've been meaning to do this for a while and finally got around to it. I enjoyed those wizard books when I read them, but as their author becomes increasingly determined to hurt people I care about, I wanted to use my old copies to do something better to support trans/ace/nonconforming people.

Once the beastie gave it up I was able to start the base for a painting on this. You'd never know that some percentage of the water used on this is cat drool.
