I've been getting some activity on my account and I'm not entirely sure why, but I guess I can resume posting cat pictures. Phantom and Brownie are still very cute

So I downloaded Audible, not entirely sure what I was looking for, and found "Starter Villain" by John Scalzi on it. "Huh, that's one of the Bluesky guys," I said as I downloaded it. It was pretty good, actually. I think I'll check out something by Neil Gaiman next.

There are two cats

It's almost 50 degrees outside so I opened up the apartment balcony door to air the place out a little bit

It's very hard to get moving in the morning when this happens

I don't have photos of it because it happens when I go to bed but lately Phantom has been crawling under my covers at night and laying on my arm so I can hold him like a teddy bear and then Brownie will come up and lay by my head and I just want to say I love my cats so much

Usually after I get a shower, one of my two cats will be waiting outside the door. I've never photographed it before. Today I brought my phone into the bathroom in hopes of catching them... and neither one was there after my shower.

This was going to be a post about "haha Phantom keeps sitting in this same spot" but then Brownie plunked herself right next to him and I feel that is more post worthy

About two months ago I froze some Japanese curry in mason jars and a couple days ago I pulled one out to thaw. Today I heated it in the microwave in a bowl. It still tastes incredibly delicious but the texture is, uh, not as good. Also love (hate) that it's basically mush except for the carrots.

I don't know how to grocery shop so there are no quick and easy meals to make in my apartment right now. Throw canned chicken in white sauce? Not enough milk to make the sauce Chicken salad? No mayo Eggs and bacon? I had that for breakfast, don't want it again Oatmeal? Ehhhhh no

Every day I am thankful that I have cats and I want to believe that they are glad to have me as well

I just tried putting some MSG in my scrambled eggs and I want to give my most profound thanks to Kikunae Ikeda for creating the stuff

Phantom was trying to get into the cabinet beneath the sink, which has a baby lock on it. I asked him, "Why are you trying to get in there? There's nothing in there for you." He stopped, stared straight at me, and let out a really sharp exhale.

I've been feeling very frustrated lately, both with the state of my life and the state of the world in general. "Why is this the way it is?" is a thought that keeps me up at night.

I just woke up with a cat on both sides of my legs and I have to say that's a fairly good start to the morning

Me after hand-washing a pot instead of putting it in the dishwasher: "I am a domestic goddess"

"Oh don't mind me, I'm just laying here, starving to death next to my empty food dish which hasn't been filled since yesterday"

These are my two cats. The gray one is named Phantom, and he is a cuddly little guy. The dark one is Brownie, she is an adventurous kitty with a super loud purr.
