Why tf are normal maps so hard to apply with triplanar UVs. Why is it not the same as applying normal maps with normal UVs?

Found some graffiti of a swastika in a club bathroom so I covered it up by drawing some anime tiddies. 😏 Then I realized I'm in Japan and maybe the swastika was actually a religious symbol. 😢
