Have been exploring Monte Pasubio today. The underground workings (many hundreds of metres of tunnels dug into solid rock) are absolutely incredible. There’s still a lot of burned and rusty stuff down there.

It was Emma’s first experience of riding off-road, so obviously I tricked her into riding up the Vršič pass to the Russian chapel. Once the abrasions and bruises have healed she’ll probably be glad we did it.
