Short, organised work sessions will help you finish your game better than long sessions without direction. Instead of working on what you "feel like", do the smallest task that will move your project foward. You don't need more time. Organize the one you already have. #indiedev #gamedev

You always have two choices. You can choose the pain of doing, or you can choose the pain of not doing. Both paths have a cost. The difference is what you gain from them. So the question becomes simple. Which path are you choosing today?

Procrastination can look productive: - Planning - Tweaking - Doing side tasks But deep down, you know when you are avoiding the real work.

Why is the thing we care about the most, often the hardest thing to work on?

I have the time. I have the tools. I have the motivation. And I still struggle to work on my game. Loving something does not make it easy.

Being a solo creative is hard for 3 reasons: - You do everything. - You decide everything. - You carry all the weight alone. No one talks about this enough.

Progress is often quiet and invisible. Even when you cannot see results, things are happening beneath the surface. Trust the process. Trust yourself. Your consistency is enough.

Creative work is built through trial and error, through iteration after iteration. If it looks like crap right now, it just means that you need to keep working on it. Keep working, keep refining, and eventually it will start to match the vision in your head.

No plan survives first contact with reality. Goals are like creative projects. The first version is never the final one. You adjust, redo, and iterate until it works.

Small steps matter more than big bursts of effort. On hard days, I tell myself I will just open the project. That tiny action is often enough to get me moving.

Success is built by choosing to show up more days than not. Even when you doubt yourself. Even when progress feels slow. Especially when no one is watching.

Failure does not mean you are broken or that success is not meant for you. It simply means you need to try again because a different approach is needed. Every person you admire did this many times.

The hardest part of creative work is rarely the work itself. It is dealing with doubt, fear, and constant second guessing. The mental side of making things matters more than we admit.

I spent years starting projects full of excitement, then burning out and quitting. I truly thought something was wrong with me. If you're the same, there's nothing wrong with you or me. Turns out, we just never learned how to be patient and stay with something long term.

Just because you set a goal and make a plan doesn’t mean it’s going to happen that way, or that you won’t need to change it. Things almost never happen exactly as planned, because no plan survives first contact with the enemy.

When motivation is low, lower the bar. Tell yourself you will just open the file. That is often enough to begin.

Most people think success comes from talent. What I learned last year is that it usually comes from a daily choice. Today, I will show up and keep working, even when it feels hard.

We live in a culture obsessed with instant results. If success does not happen fast, we assume we failed. That assumption is the real problem.
