I've said un the past that I keep my toes in a lot of groups to remain aware of the general online attitudes, and echo chambers we're up against at work. First thing this morning I came across a prime example of the extreme version of a commonly held belief we hear daily. I hear this too often.

I used left over burnt ends, charred corn, jalapeños, tomatoes, red onion, cheese, and a whole lotta cilantro some could have nachos for supper. Damn good!

3:30 am brisket wrapping and then I cleaned down a grate and added my marinated leg of lamb around 45 minutes ago. I'm going to have to breakdown and scrub this whole machine completely after this. Worth it!

I got my brisket on the smoker, and I have to get up at 3am to wrap it in paper. I have to get my leg of lamb prepped because if I'm running this thing for hours on end, I'm getting the biggest possible bang for my buck. I'll also be smoking baked beans, and baking corn bread. Maximum effort!

I went from struggling constantly with our bank for years but for the first time ever, I went in today, and two people smiled, and greeted me by name. They have never known my name, this felt Twilight Zone-ish. It seems as though I have done something that shifted me from outsider to an ok dood. 🤷‍♀️

Driving home earlier this evening, I watched the roads go from bone dry, to the curbside lane becoming unusable in less than 30 minutes. I enjoy the rain so I didn't mind being caught out in it from inside my dry vehicle.

We have two dogs running loose around the shelter so I decide to do my due diligence & tell people that we haven't seen them in several minutes, but they were last spotted out back, & we don't know the nature of the dogs. Please be cautious exiting the building. ***DRAMA EXPLOSION!!!***

I have a bridal shower & we've been asked to bring a recipe to start a cookbook. I wanted to go with something more unique & versatile so I threw together the recipes for 3 of my own spice blends, & made up a jar of each. Now, as usual, I'm doubting my choice & feel I should have done a meal. 🤣
