Today I met with police who were following up on a missing person report that was filed last night. (everything is now fine) They had already contacted the person's family, and had swung by the shelter to see if we knew of any friends of the missing woman. One officer really caught my attention.

I took my friend to The Leaf tonight for a belated birthday supper, & a wander around some gorgeous plants. There was a woman there with a beautiful cat, & a toddler who found my friend & I fascinating, though I can't figure out why. Walking around tropical plants was a nice break from winter.
