Started watching a Ping Pong anime of all things last night because my wife told me it's pretty good. And you know what? It's pretty good!

It's not enough that getting a head cold completely wrecks my recording/audition schedule - no, the body just has to do that thing where the voice gets lower and gravelly and sounds awesome. I talk like Solid Snake but can't do anything with it!

Hardwood floors finally dried, they came out better than I expected for being DIY. I had never done flooring before this month!

There's something to be said about getting a less stressful day job. It's been a month now and I no longer dread a weekday morning, I have some energy after a full work day, and I don't snack at my desk. Amazing improvements- toxic workplaces suck, it's worth the change!

I gotta say, I've been pretty inactive lately due to house hunting and eventually buying a house. Which I did! 🎊 And then immediately jumped head-first into renovations including refinishing the floor. Which is exhausting. But my my what a floor it's becoming:

Fortnite thought it was a cool idea to introduce Darth Vader voiced by AI. Surely it's safe and foolproof right? Within hours after its release, players have already figured out how to get AI Vader to say curses and slurs, videos are everywhere. AI voices are liabilities. Use real voices.

My wedding is 2 weeks away and it's such a wild feeling. I've been planning and juggling this for the better part of a year. It's nearly here. It will be one of my best days, surrounded by friends and family to welcome us both into each other's homes and officially journey life together. Amazing.

#Voiceacting and #Voicework will occasionally throw you a live audition. Some people have told me they find it nerve-wracking - and it can be, having people silently listen to you live - but I've come to find it insightful. You get to listen to others and hear unique readings of the same lines!

2024 was the Year of Future Investment for me. I proposed to my fiancee, the wedding now planned for 2025. I networked into a new day job that won't drain my soul. And - more relatedly to this account - I found that my interest in #voiceover and #voiceacting had NOT faded over the entire year.
