We’ve got an office competition where we all select a weekly fixture at random to predict the outcome. I’ve got: West Ham vs Liverpool …this weekend and I have no idea where to go with it.

If we had any other viable option, Patrick Dorgu should be sent out on loan.

Aside from Arsenal on the opening day of the season, how many of the 20 games that we’ve lost under Amorim can you say we were unlucky, gave a good account of ourselves and deserved better? I can only think of Arsenal. The rest we’ve just rolled over and had our tummies tickled. Is that fair?

18 points from 12 games is an average of 1.5 points a game. 1.5 points over a 38 game season equates to 57 points. Last season, that would have put us in 9th. Outside of the European places.

United’s win rate this season is 38%. After 13 games & 5 wins. And we were told by the old charmer that we sacrificed results last season to concentrate on Europe. Gaslighting. I get that people don’t want another change, & I understand that. But how you can defend that man is beyond me.

There is a fair shout for Jose Mourinho being the most successful post-Fergie manager. But I hated his tenure. For the last 8 or 9 months I became completely disillusioned. For the first and only time in my adult life that forgot United were playing on a match day.

I think the head coach needs European football qualification to see out the final year of his contract. I don’t think Manchester United will qualify for Europe next season. I hope the clowns in charge carry out their succession planning with more class and dignity than the last time.

Complaining that your team aren’t positive enough but setting them up 5 across the back when the 10-men opposition take a goal kick is rank hypocrisy.

You knew exactly how that game was going to go after 30 minutes. The players weren’t on it. And I had zero faith in the manager to take positive action. We’ve seen it before. We’ll see it again before the season’s out.

If this team pass up the opportunity to go 5th (or even 4th with a few goals playing against 10 men) I struggle to believe they’re serious about European qualification this season. An extra day’s rest vs our rivals. Against 10 men from 13th minute. At home. There can be zero excuses.

That goal is a Lammens mistake, I hate to say.

My wife said I was in a ‘better than usual mood’ this weekend. Rivals dropping points and no United game to fuck things up. Lovely stuff. My Monday mood isn’t quite so chipper so far. 😂

My sister lives in France, and my mum’s going to spend Christmas over there. In my mind i was thinking we could have her over for NYE, do another Christmas Day then. But have just found out she’s not coming back until 10th January. I’m gutted. Is that really immature?
