I think we (I) need to spend less time looking at Ruben Amorim’s managerial record at Utd & take a little longer shining the light on INEOS’ leadership. The club’s performance under their stewardship has been a disgrace. We’ve been performing like an elite club run by petrochemical professionals.

I’d love to know what technical questions got asked of RA in interview. To have two-bit pundits describing our flaws in a clear manner. To have opposition players calling out the basic tactics used to beat us. Did any of these things come up to counter the ‘one idea’ and fluttering eyelashes?

It’s going to take £15 million just to get off this train.

The last time Manchester United won back-to-back league games. Feel old yet?

West Ham got relegated in 2003 with 42 points. But I think I can confidently say that….. 🎶 We are Premier League, I say we are Premier League 🎶

I’ve just been doing some nerdy research during lunch - and I come with good news. RA’s average points per game after 33 league games in charge is 1.03. That equates to 39 points over a season. Never has a team, post Fergie, been relegated with that number, with average position being 16th.

I’m not manager in, or manager out. I’m a United fan completely baffled by what is going on. But….to the die-on-a-hill for Amorim folk - what is his minimum requirement? When is enough enough? I appreciate you feel nearly a year is too soon. But what would make you change? Relegation?

It’s very Manchester United to be stuck in the doldrums with a manager who can only deliver one style of very-difficult to execute football, whilst many of the modern visionaries are moving to a more direct malleable approach in order to……you know, win games of football.

I’m scratching my head as to why the players don’t know what they should be doing, where they should be positioned, what the pressing triggers are, and who they should be picking up, from one minute to the next. It’s a real mystery.

The metrics by which Manchester United, and by association their manager, should be judged: ✅ Trophies ✅ League position ✅ Points ✅ Wins ✅ Goals Any other stat, to try and offset the absence of the above, is pure cringe. It’s looking for a crumb of comfort when there is none to be found.

It’s scandalous. We were told Utd ‘sacrificed the league’ for Europa last season. But the form is no different to when we’re giving the league our everything.

1) This is clearly bait. 2) Our current manager has a 27% in rate in the league.

This was the run of results that lost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job at Manchester United. SEVEN games. Not seven months, seven games. Having secured 2 top-four league finishes and CL qualification. Absolutely wild looking back.

God only knows what INEOS are trying to achieve with this Amorim experiment. Too many egos involved in his appointment to see the stark reality in front of their eyes. If he’d have been managing West Ham, he’d have gone by now. If that doesn’t ring alarm bells, I’m not sure what will.

Never felt more middle-aged
