Somewhat relatedly, trying to learn Welsh pronunciation when I still haven’t figured out how to sound normal with my new, deepened voice is a trip.

“Bryn” is Welsh for “hill” and also a gender-neutral name I tried unsuccessfully to make happen for myself. Now that I’m moving to Wales I can’t decide if it’s lucky I don’t share my name w a ubiquitous topographical feature or if it’s too bad because “Hill” is a great Nonbinary Noun Name™️

It's notable that rfk describes autistic children as a destroyed "resource" when he complains about autism stopping people from working. Here you see how eugenic ideology functions as a bridge between capital and fascism.

literally who the fuck cares if autistic people never write poems or play baseball or whatever the fuck. you don’t get to do eugenics because you can’t understand that disabled people are fucking people with lives of their own that are worthwhile even if they don’t meet your arbitrary criteria

Pete Hegseth isn’t DEI. Daniel Penny isn’t DEI. That’s not what DEI is. They’re just grossly unqualified for their jobs and add no value that any replacement legacy job applicant wouldn’t bring. So stop saying “it’s DEI” like it’s a clever commentary on the situation. It’s not.

There is something disturbing - & downright ignorant - about how people that otherwise never mention or seriously care about autism (indicated by the outdated terminologies & framings used) are talking about it in relation to Musk (& double down if questioned by autistic people).
