Full time ornery redhead, part time evil genius. Classic movie lover and custard tart enthusiast.
Is it hayfever or covid? Either way I feel like crap. I slept almost 12 hours last night & I'm still so tired. I'll take a test tomorrow :(

My sister & her family are visiting today (straight after flying 20+ hours from Canada) & the first thing she wants is a Coles chocolate mud cake lol (it's not a thing in Canada). Anyway talk about shrinkflation, didn't they used to be 900g? This one looks tiny.

Wegovy update - 3 and a half months in and I'm 10kgs down, that equates to a bit over half a kilo a week. The jump from .5mg to 1mg was absolutely brutal and I'm not sure I want to go any higher, we'll see. Overall I'm very happy with my progress so far.

âHe fondly called me his hash babyâ: Mandy Sayer on her larger-than-life father â a lawbreaking jazz musician who couldnât read or write
Gerry Sayer was a warm, funny, yet absent father, so consumed with music that he sacrificed family â but his âflair for improvisationâ inspired his writer daughter * Get our weekend culture and lifestyle email After her wedding service in 2003, Mandy Sayer stopped traffic. Or at least the musicians leading her and her new husband, Louis Nowra, through the streets of Kings Cross did. âSaxophones wailing, tambourines jingling, drums booming, even managing to pick up one or two rough sleepers along the way,â she writes in her latest memoir, No Dancing In The Lift. Three years earlier, in 2000, the same scenario had played out at the funeral of her jazz musician father, Gerry. The congregation followed the hearse down Darlinghurst Road, âall playing percussion instruments to the saxophonistâs fast blues,â she tells Guardian Australia. Sign up for the fun stuff with our rundown of must-reads, pop culture and tips for the weekend, every Saturday morning Continue reading...

Dinner tonight was one of those meals that was thrown together and was unexpectedly really good. Leftover rice was turned into fried rice and a few chicken wings were marinated in a honey soy mix and put in the airfryer.

This is an interesting article on the making of Blue Murder (and if you lived in Sydney during 80/90s you'll probably have a Roger Rogerson story. I know I do).
