I recently changed computers and I must say, personal dotfiles, homebrew, and 1Password are a lifesaver! I could have done it with Time Machine, but I always like to start from scratch for some reason.

15 years ago I made an with a friend that we never launched (even though it was sort of finished). I liked skateboarding but didn't know anybody in Madrid. So we made crowdboarding.com (right now for sale, not by me). It was a two-sided market place for skateboarders who wanted to meet people.

Yesterday I was struggling with some code all day. Today I walked the dog for one hour only thinking about this problem and within 10 minutes, I got it working! The lesson? Get a dog if you want to get things done!

Somebody has a decent webcam to recommend for video calls and screencast. Doesn't need to be pro, just slightly better than the standard on a MBP.

Another stupid security thing is simply having a random generated url for the admin panel. And a honeypot admin on /admin 😂 So even, if they hack my account, it is still difficult to reach the admin panel.

An overly cautious way to prevent password reset requests on admin users is simply raising an error :)

There is something nice about suffering that makes you complain less. For example, I never complain about traveling, because once I had a 4-day bus ride, night and day, in South America, all by myself, with no phone. That was literally the last day I complained about traveling 🤣

Found out that Claude Code is *really good* at guiding me through the Spanish bureaucracy process. It just helped me getting like 10 official documents in like an hour time. Which would take me a Long time before! It also discovered I had a social security debt in 2023 that I didn’t know off 😱

I had a chat about security and all the ways you can get hacked with my offline none geeky friends last weekend. And I think I scared the shit out of them 🤣 It is concerning how little normal people do to be safe.

Something amazing happened at Microconf. I had dinner with a group of people including 2 of my fav customers. They were selling the heck out of my proposal tool to somebody running a large business. All in front of my face! And this morning they signed up on the highest plan and they love it!

The biggest backlash I get from programmers is that I recommend Heroku instead of doing it yourself (with something like Kamal) because it is easier and faster to get your MVP launched. My hosting costs are 1,4% of my total revenue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Btw, this is the same reason why I can't access my crypto wallet anymore 😂 I bought some years and years ago just in case. But the exchange requires a ID document with photo of the country of residency. Passport doesn't work. My official Spanish ID document doesn't work. Lovely 😂

Spent 3 weeks transferring a Spanish domain from a retired person who lost access to the original email. As it turns out, Spanish domains are a lot harder to transfer! Especially for foreigners that are Spanish residents that came here 15 years ago and don't have a document with a photo on it...

Giving a talk at a conference has been such a different experience than attending one. It was one of the most nerve-wracking things I've ever done, felt like a big imposter, sleepless nights, etc. But after the talk, you don't need to put any effort into meeting people, they just come to you 😂
