a scene that rots in my mind from p3 is isidor's funeral, because one would assume it should in no way be a pivotal moment to daniil, but no. apparently it warrants an entire cutscene while artemy lacks one in p2 for this very selfsame moment (unless you burn isidor's body, but it's unlike p3's)

finished pt 1 of novecento because of the burakhovsky bait and i've already decided i will never watch this movie again. such a fascinating glimpse into how even within progressive/socialist circles, sexism and violence against women is still commonplace

artemy and kim kitsuragi share nearly nothing in common with each other except how i feel towards them i.e their suffocating patience with their respective (psychologically) messy partners and how much i love them because of it

would kill to learn about the type of things artemy was exposed to during his years serving as a field medic

p2 is just me keeping track of how unimaginably wrong popular/fanon consensus is about daniil because i just finished the water barrel quest and he's actually very open to the prospect of being wrong if evidence proves otherwise and is willing to immediately fix his mistakes

bachelor in artemy's pov lacks any politeness and civility, but it's genuinely funnier and more interesting that way. i wouldn't say there was ever a moment where he was offensive to artemy, just the opposite where daniil immediately wants artemy by his side and acknowledges the skills of the other

enjoying the snide remarks towards burakhovsky whenever there's threads of how a certain character is heterosexually involved with another and it's like brother, the ipl server has an emote of them kissing. this relationship has as much, if not, more canon basis than your straight love interests

also not entirely sure if deliberate--i feel that daniil and artemy embody the philosophies of individualism vs collectivism and that there's a cost to both. one will leave you aimless, lacking support, and alone. the other involves giving up your own desires and autonomy for the sake of the whole

[pathologic 3 spoilers] while i go on my p2 replay, i still think a lot about daniil's response to artemy's own ending and the ultimate resolution of his path. the second question daniil can ask him is "are you happy? is this what you wanted?" and it kills me. it destroys me. g o d

i genuinely love this man

at times i feel that the stamatin twins' relationship with artemy are extremely undervalued i.e it's only the first day in p2 and they're already drawn to certain characteristics of artemy's: andrey taking notice of artemy's strength, peter catching onto the glimmers of kindness within artemy's eyes

pathologic 2/3 doodles, trying to get a hang of how to draw the town's doctors and capture their in-game likeness

thinking about this. their second dialogue tree with each other. what is wrong with daniil where you can only get the third line by choosing the second response from before

realizing i have yet to post some of my newer nonsensical doodles, starting with painting practice of the bachelor of homosexuality himself

artemy and daniil being such polar opposites in every manner of being that they're like a personified jigsaw puzzle, they fill whatever the other is missing (this could also be an illustration idea i'm realizing)

it's a sunday, the snow is melting, the cold is lifting, and i'm here making the brilliant decision to replay pathologic 2

i'm curious where this misconception that daniil masks his lack of intelligence through his mannerisms... it's such a superficial read of his character? his personality is simply one that comes from a grizzled academic who has gone through untold mental torture to obtain the credentials he has
