peering into the future-- i wonder if realistic text-to-speech for narration will be the first new a.i. thing artists accept it gives privacy to smaller artists, it can sound decent with minimal editing, it still requires the artist to write the lines and edit the audio, etc.

This is weakness. They can't stand being protested so they're going to bring absurd charges against protesters they know they can't sustain in actual court. It's going to tie up massive amounts of resources while real crime goes uninvestigated. This is pure intimidation and trying to instill fear.
