Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. I have been immensely privileged to photograph some of the last survivors of the Holocaust. These are the hands of survivor John Hajdu holding his teddy bear with which, as a 7 year old Jewish boy in 1944, he escaped the Nazis. #HolocaustMemorialDay #HMD2025

Coal Faces, published this month by Image&Reality, features the work of 17 photographers telling the story of the last 60 years of coal mining in Britain. It includes a foreword by Steve Fergus, one of the 15 miners featured in my 'Last Men Standing' portrait series which is included in the book.
