Somewhere along the line it morphed from "Uncle Soandso died, I need to let everyone know" to "he died so I'll post about it and they can all keep checking my account if they want to know". I've become very ok with finding things put much later.

This sums it up pretty well. I was arguing on Usenet back in 86, and then on other platforms as I watched the internet explode, and now all I want to do is talk baseball and cross stitch and look at artwork and share smiles and passions.

I was going to check in on the Rockies game, but after reading a couple of posts here, I think I'll just go grocery shopping. *sigh* Rockies gonna Rockie. #baseball

I'm mightily ticked off at the #WBC and most of live sports right now. All I want to do is watch the WBC. I'm willing to pay for that. What I don't want to do is sign up for Yet Another Service where I won't use 90% (and cancelling is one more thing to remember).

TIL that if you leave gummy coke bottles in a hot car for awhile, they melt into a large wad of gummy goo. Still tasted good though.

Three stitches short of exactly half done with the current #crossstitch project. I'm 99.44% sure the darkest stitches in some of the green panels are wrong, but they were among the first areas I did when I was getting used to the symbol set. I will fix them up later.

I finally got the stuff that's scheduled already for this year written(*) on the calendar, and I realized I already have tickets for more #baseball games than I went to last year. Two of them are even #Rockies games. (*) yes, paper. I'm old. Get off my lawn.

Went to Georgetown for a year and was in a class (and discussion section!) with Patrick Ewing. He wasn't there much. Also rode in the elevator with him after class a time or two. His backpack was at the top of my head.
