#KnockOutValidation is the best known way to validate #antibody specificity. #KnockOut your #gene of interest in a #CellLine or a #ModelOrganism and use an antibody to probe #ProteinExpression. One of the best ways to validate the specificity of #antibodies is to use #knockout cells as control: If a #WesternBlot band or #ImmunoFluorescence staining appears in the wild type cells and not in the knockout cells, it means the antibody is specific to the desired #protein.
