haven't been backlogging as much because i was getting into some old games with friends (and i changed distros a while back and have been ricing and such) but i played in stars and time and oh my GOD. i just need to talk about it. for a long time. this game made me cry ugly tears at least six times.

started playing SIGNALIS. i'm like 40 minutes in. pros: incredible atmosphere and genuinely spooky cons: i forgot how much of a wimp for horror i am. i keep pointing my gun at literally everything in case it wakes up like the one (1) tutorial enemy

i just spent 40 minutes learning how to add sound effects on actions in sway. this shit rules. truly learning is beautiful

started using sway because i changed distros to CachyOS. i installed a font based on the minecraft font for my terminal as a joke but i kinda unironically enjoy it. how will i explain this to people also i'm really enjoying the config process. this is so fun, you should use sway

deadbolt and spelunky hd now! also i moved Peaks of Yore up because trying to beat the Great Solemn Tempest has me obsessed in a way i haven't felt since i got into Celeste so that has to count for something. the movement is amazing. i am so bad at it and i love it.

ive still been trying to clear the last peak in Peaks of Yore, and the discovery of how to actually use the crampons for movement is incredible. this is goat behavior. this game rules

new games! i beat Hylics, and i also forgot to put Surmount on there before i liked hylics! it's a little aimless but it feels very intentional. the vibes are weird in a good way and i love the music and visuals. under the hood is a genuinely very fun RPG too! meat is a cool replacement for XP imo

knitting on Lang Phoenix and it's such a strange yarn. idk if it's the fiber or the fact that it's dark green but it's so hard to work with. i'm making mistakes i never make i would include a photo of the fabric (it looks good!) but my phone automatically washes it out hard. love modern hardware

made risotto for the first time (asparagus to be specific) and it's delicious and turned out perfectly but also kind of a pain to make! took extra time bc i was blanching the asparagus beforehand but even if it didnt have any veg the rice takes like 20 minutes of constant stirring. annoying but good

getting back into The Binding of Isaac and realizing i'm actually really close to dead god somehow (???) has not been good for my free time in other news: actually tainted jacob is fine and kind of fun and i shouldn't have been scared of him.
