Had a Eurasian pygmy owl against my window last week! It took 10 minutes to get to its senses, before it flew away unharmed. Of course I had to paint it, so did some watercolor studies in my Steamline sketchbook. I am still so chuffed about this special meeting, never seen these owls alive before!

A little experiment with gouache on tinted paper... the tinted paper is not the experiment, but the kind of paper. It's mixed media and not really ideal for wet media, but it behaved well enough and I like the green hue a lot. #art #painting #traditionalart #gouache

Painted pumpkins yesterday on stream using ink. I got this ink over 15 years ago... Yeah, my supplies become vintage all on their own now. But it worked wonderfully. On rough watercolor paper, using lots of wet in wet, layering carefully and now they look nice and bright and glowy. #art #ink
