Arren is a sentinel to Mythal that was employed by Elgar’nan to keep Erys’ powers in check. Erys is revered as the “god killer” to the Evanuris. Erys sees so benefit to the war being waged and seeks other means to stop them without the use of her powers. Arren sees this in her and seeks to help her.
