Korea joins the EUs Research Programme, Horizon Europe. That’s quite exciting!! It’s becoming a world wide programme, with Korea, Canada and New Zealand in and others discussing accession. 🧪 ec.europa.eu/commission/p...

A complex title, but simply this is a meeting of research projects funded by REA to bridge the gap between research and practice in agriculture and land management. Our research has provided solutions to increase sustainability in agriculture, but they need to be taken up and applied. 🧪

Very happy to host this event at the Research Executive Agency. Many of the great research projects that we fund feeding back their results to policy makers. Adding value to the research of each individual project, great to see. 🧪

🧪 very happy to be in the Drôme region of France today to meet the Gov4all research project, funded by the REA, and to see soil #livinglabs at work. Exciting practical work with farmers and land managers to improve soil health.

Earth Observation is vital. With programs like Copernicus and EuroGEO, and its investment in research, the EU plays a key role in global #EarthMonitoring 🛰️ 🌍 EU-funded projects have a solid representation at the GEO Global Forum 2025. 🧪 More info on the agenda of the EU booth: europa.eu/!QjcQRf

🧪Really happy to be at this event today on marine biodiversity, 30 research projects funded by REA coming together to discuss their work and feed back their evidence to policy makers. Thanks to my colleagues who have organised the event together with BioAgora Project.

Delighted to see the publication of these two reports. #RFCS technical groups have provided great analysis on mitigation of the effects of coal mining and the decarbonisation of steel production. Well worth a read. All projects funded by the European Research Executive Agency. 🧪

Just reading that negotiations on Switzerland’s accession to the EUs Horizon Europe research programme have been competed, I’m delighted to see another part of the European Research landscape back in place, can’t wait to start signing contracts with Swiss beneficiaries again!!🧪

I’m reading that, from today, Swiss entities can apply the @HorizonEU research programme. Signing of contracts once the full agreement is in place. After the UK accession to the programme in 2024 this is a great step to putting the European research landscape back where it should be!

High quality plastics for food packaging are difficult to sort and recycle. The CIRCULAR FoodPack project, financed by #REA under the EUs #HorizonEurope programme has produced major advances in knowledge of #recycling and #re-use. It is a pleasure to be involved in the final meeting today

This week funding proposals for the Research Fund for Coal and Steel annual call will be evaluated. 85 research projects assessed by nearly 100 independent experts to select the 20-30 best ones. A big exercise for my colleagues but so important to ensure that the very best proposals are funded.
