Had it been a possibility and was available, transitioning as a youth would have saved me multiple surgeries and a lot of depression and anxiety throughout my teenage years. That tradeoff is never considered.

They see trans people as expendable. They would rather ensure that 100 trans people can't transition so long as there is a possibility that 1 person might mistakenly transition. In no other field of medicine is that even remotely ethical to suggest or do.

This is a really good point. Health care is a perfect example of a place where the Free Market doesn't work. It violates basically all key assumptions of perfect competition, which means the market will fail. One of the biggest ones it violates is a technical one, which is around maximizing utility

I've seen a couple of Flock cameras in #Memphis that were taken down. I've also, while out knocking doors, seen many Ring cameras and doorbells disabled or outright removed from houses in some of the richest parts of the city. People are angry at ICE. And they're angry at collaborators.

Conservatives really, really want trans people to be unable to talk about being trans, and to stop us from being openly trans. They want to return society back to the way it was when I was a young adult. Naming something makes it real. Seeing other people live your truth makes it real.

It was literally only through the works of trans people who were open about their lives, how they felt pre-transition, and how they came to understand themselves that I'm still alive today. Maybe when I get elected to Federal office, we'll have a big TDoV party and they'll be top guests :)
