Ranma 1/2 was the manga series I’d buy and read as much as I could afford as a kid in the days before they kept manga reading right to left, but awkwardly mirrored it all. Enjoying the recent anime adaptation as an excuse to revisit the fond memories and dig out my battered, ancient manga

I got caught up in a whirlwind of nostalgia and replayed Sonic Adventure 2. There’s some fun bits and cool ideas in there but I must have had jank blindness and the patience of a saint when I played through that game as a kid.

The Secret Level short for Mega Man is cute but that origin story is such well worn territory and the Bomb Man redesign didn’t exactly blow my mind. I enjoyed the Spelunky 2 episode.

Completed the Silent Hill 2 remake with the Leave ending. Still a very good game, the line “Then why do you look so sad?” by itself in context almost makes me cry. Remake is very good and graphically looks phenomenal.

Gacha: first blood

Yesterday was a fairly full on 24 hours of travel but today is our first proper day in Tokyo! On our way in to Shibuya!

Feeling the dual pull of not completely decimating my phone battery and advancing in Monster Hunter Now.

It’s been a looong couple of months, but first big holiday since COVID turning me into a complete hermit is coming up soon - flying out to Japan next Friday with @frayed-symphony.bsky.social, big exciting plans and room for more. Sitting down this weekend to finalise any last planned itinerary items

I meant to casually check out Monster Hunter Now, I did not expect it to consume me quite so thoroughly.
