In Iceland, on Christmas Eve, people give each other books so they can spend the evening drinking cocoa & reading. It’s called, Jolabokaflod, the Christmas book flood. I’ve never been more in love with Iceland than I am right now ♥️♥️

I once looked into different company awards for educational resources etc. They are quite expensive to enter. I had no idea companies pay to nominate themselves. 🤯 Teacher awards on the other hand are entirely free to nominate someone. So give someone a boost this year and drop them a nomination!

I have worked with some truly dedicated and amazing teachers and none of them have been nominated for Teacher of the year / National Teaching Awards. Every year this event comes around and well meaning luminaries pop up to festoon gongs on lucky folk.

Yup. Say it louder. If someone could tot up the waste of professional effort/time thrown into this, e.g. action taken on spurious data. It's a huge distraction from the real work of defining and securing true (substantial, sustainable) improvement through long-term input.

We use CUSP curriculum (all subjects) and have used Insight since 2016. Both have evolved into ‘things of beauty’!

We use both! Heading into year 3 of CUSP & used Insight for the first time last Easter

We use cusp for almost all non core subjects and science. It's been a challenging start but the quality of learning is excellent .
