As usual, it was very windy on the coastal path down to the beach this week for #wildfliwerhour I managed to find wild strawberry, spring squill (Scilla verna), red campion, bugle (Ajuga reptans), common vetch, & common dog violet

These are my finds from a quick dash to the beach this evening: Tree mallow, chamomile flowers, small bugloss (I think!), and gorgeous rosy garlic on the lane en route! #wildflowerhour

I was so pleased to find my first common purple orchids of the year this afternoon, just a 5 minute walk away from my house! #wildflowerhour

#wildflowerhour Another w'end away from home, so slim pickings from the banks of the very lovely, breezy river Severn at Shrewsbury today: Purple & white dead-nettle, & cuckoo flower (Lady's smock)

I'm away in the Canaries at the moment, so cheating a little bit for #wildflowerhour I'm surrounded by such beautiful vibrant colurs where I'm staying, it would be a pity not to share some of them!

The woods were steep & slippery in places, but I clung on, determined to capture some evidence of the numerous sweet white violets-viola odorata-along with a purple & possibly early dog violet(?) for this week's #wildflowerhour #WhiteFlowers challenge!
