I want to start a new game show where one round is called “Sarcasm or Stupidity.” You get presented with Tweets or Reddit comments, and have to correctly guess whether it’s written sarcastically, or the writer actually believes what they’re saying. Not yet sure how to confirm.

Two weeks later, I’ve just learned about Bernard Hill’s passing. Great to see how good the social media algorithms are at recognising what info I want to receive and sending it to my feed… Really sad to hear this. RIP Theoden. An immense talent. 💜

A big problem we have in the world today, is that while we all want to be understood, we aren’t willing to understand.

Remember when everyone was like, “oh yes, I’m going to leave the birds for the bees,” and there was all this idea to go be social elsewhere, and then everyone just shrugged and decided it was all too hard?

It’s interesting to look through social media lists and realise how many people you added because you saw them as a connection, only to realise they just see you as their audience.

Becoming comfortable with uncertainty and the realisation that nothing we know is guaranteed is a state of mind that opens up infinite possibilities.

Every time I hear about all these group chats people are in, I realise how many friends I don’t have.

I get that I’m not the target audience, but I still feel patronised when I read the warning on packaging to be careful “product may be hot,” after specific “Heating Instructions.”

It’s really interesting to see how few people actually consider social media as an opportunity to engage and communicate. I sometimes wonder why I bother. I want to meet people, so if you’re into #ttrpg #photography or #writing, and actually want to TALK, hit me up.

I hate gaping plot holes… Sometimes I’m watching or reading something and there’s this glaring continuity error and I lose all my suspension of disbelief. I end up wondering if the writer noticed it and just ignored it? Or was somehow oblivious. And I don’t know which is worse.
