I forgot to announce today's stream (oops), but I did some more 3D modelling in Blender. This time, the model is based on the YoYoJam Unleashed, a modified shape yo-yo that's great for looping tricks. Though it looks simple, I learned to use the array modifier to add its starburst response system!

I had a lot of fun on stream today making a yo-yo in Blender. It's nothing fancy, but I got to review how to use Blender, which I haven't done in months. Plus! I got to talk a lot about yo-yos! This model is based on the YoYoJam Dark Magic, the yo-yo I learned all the basic tricks on.

I've wanted to try learning how to use Emacs for many years, and this weekend I went ahead and just installed it. I finished the built-in tutorial today, and y'all... it's fun??? Like, just the text navigation is so satisfying even though I'm super slow at it.

Today, I started a community event on stream! I introduced Star Force Points which the community can earn whenever viewers redeem channel rewards, cheer, or subscribe. When we reach 20,000 points, I will play Mega Man Star Force on stream. In four hours, chat earned 8,544 points!

I'm getting back into regular streams this week! Stella, my little helper beaver, has been hard at work setting up a schedule board.

Unfortunately, I have to pause streams again for the forseeable future. I can't use my PC without significant pain in my arms ☹️

I streamed game dev for the first time in almost two months today, and it was so fun learning C++ and Unreal while chatting with some lovely folks.

I'm concerned I may have Pavloved myself into only being able to do game dev while under the pressure of a game jam. I promised myself that I would stop doing them and take a break, but every time I see someone streaming their game jam work, my brain goes, "But what if I did one more?".

Me, learning Unreal, but who used GDScript exclusively for the past few months: "You mean I have to compile every single time I make a code change?" My comp. sci. teachers: 🤦
