We had a lovely session today at the GREC Language Cafe! First we heard from two speakers, Shelter and Aberlang; then I told a story. Afterwards, the Cafetistas wrote words in English and their own languages (and there were so many in the room) - words relating to house and home!

This isn't even my penultimate post for today! Yes. I have been busy!! And that's why it was such a pleasure to visit our wonderful friends at Aye Aye Club on Monday for some crafting! We had fun making dreamcatchers from wool, feathers beads and cardboard :)

And I'm nae finished with the socials today - not by a long shot! Last Wednesday evening I was honoured to be asked to do the The Grampian Association of Storytellers Fireside Chat on my favourite local Edwardian Field Collector, Annie Shirer.

The P6s at Meethill aren't getting away without a post! As part of the Cultural Tides Workshops, the P6s learned stories from Peterhead's past, figured out 5 stages to each story (start, middle, end) and started writing out the stories in Doric! paulinecordiner.co.uk/2026/03/21/p...

Here are some super photos courtesy of 55th Aberdeen Brownies who I visited last week to help out with their Folklore Badge! The girls heard a couple of stories of mythological creatures and went on a creature hunt I was SO impressed with their knowledge!

On Tuesday had my fairy wings and halo on to sing a song to the residents of Overton Care Home. Sheena played guitar and sang, we told stories and reminisced about the residents memories of Christmas when they were wee! This visit was organised by @doricbooks and we had such a grand time visiting!

Talking of the #sisfstoryripple2025 ... I had a great visit to Oldmachar Church Youth Group on Tuesday evening! They enjoyed popcorn and hot chocolate and I got to tell some of my favourite stories with a twist at the end. (As usual I didn't take any photos, so here's an auld een)
