I went on a vacay and packed some #fabercastell watercolour pencils with me. They ended up being the perfect travel #art medium with no fussing about water, containers, or trays. I had some trouble getting some clear lines and shapes but I had fun using these for the first time!

After much trial and error I finally got a clear transfer of my art onto the lino! Very excited and nervous to cut this out tonight... I'm 100% sure I'm going to absolutely wreck it ❤️

This year seems to be the year of printmaking for me! Learning how to transfer my digital print onto a lino block. I definitely oversaturated with water and over peeled sections. Next time I'll do a blot dampening and take my time peeling. Anyone else have any tips for transfering their image?

I'm making some Sailormoon inspired art postcards in a minimalist style! I'm using oil pastels which are a little unwieldy and difficult to do thin lines which was apparent when I was doing Artemis' details. Took me about 3 tries to not be all butter fingers about it 🫣

Starting on my next project. I created the lineart last week and now I'm doing the cutting. I love, love, love papercutting, an art practice that helps me slow down and just be in the moment 😌

As 2024 comes to an end, I look back on my artist journey and am very proud of the love and attention I gave my practice this year. In 2024, I completed a whopping 16 projects and had my art shown in 3 shows! In comparison, last year I completed 1 project, and had never shown my work in my life.
