Wonderful time in Grote Dorst today. Hugely enjoyable atmosphere, friendly locals, great beer. This locally blended gueuze continues to impress. 90% is 4 year old Girardin.

At Brouwerij Boon 50th Anniversary celebration event. The new 10% version of Mariage Parfait Geuze is very enjoyable, very smooth.

Cantillon Brabantiae. Gueuze aged in Port barrels. 7 years from bottling. Definitely improves as it opens up to become something special. Red vinous flavours have softened those of ageing lambic. It's going to age well. Vintage Cheddar cheese is a great pairing

First cask beer since the disabling accident. It tastes superb. Great to be back at our local pub again after 45 minute walk through the countryside.

@3Fonteinen Zenne batch 2. Bottled 9.5 years ago. Fine mature, lambic. Oloroso then caramel PX flavours. Age mellowed sherry flavours & add complexity. Great drink to wish all of you at the 3F Open Days a great time, Wish could be with you, prevented by a shattered humerus

Belgian Flag Edition Cantillon Gueuze, 2013. 12 years old. A sublime mature old gueuze. Soft & mellow, very dry & a lingering finish. Superb. Today I should have been at Cantillon. Instead I am at home with shattered humerus. At least I can enjoy this excellent Gueuze at home.

Gales Prize Old Ale bbf Sept 2015 but tasting superb. Rescued by Henry Kirk. Aroma dark malt and fruit. Flavours - sweet dark malt, light acidity, dark fruit especially raisins & plums, becomes more hop bitter. Dry finish. Superb with mature Cheddar

A glorious 9 year old Girardin Gueuze. Aromas of wet wheat field and musty wet cellar. Flavours are light lactic tart, malt, lemon and orange, hints of apricot and peach. Lovely long dry end. Simply superb at this age.

Agreed. An excellent beer on cask and still great in the can conditioned version.

We found Austrian beer to refresh ourselves after another great walk in the Stubai Alps of Austria yesterday. 🚶 🇦🇹 🍻

Well this is a very nice gueuze. A 10:60:30 blend of 1, 2 & 3yr old lambics. Smooth, soft mild lactic acidity. Mild Stonefruit. Very pleasant long dry finish. Enjoyable.

We ended our trip to Leeds at the ever reliable Whitelocks.

Last stop on the road out of Leeds for us is the Bridge Inn. Lively pub. Great quality beer. Well worth a visit.

We have now reached the beauriful and historic Cardigan Arms. Great beer. Superb pub. Highly recommended.

Continuing our Leeds wander we have arrived at Dave's Pies & Ales. Great micropub. High quality cask beer and great pies so Dave is having a pint and a black pudding pie & peas at Dave's Pie & Ales.

Next stop in Leeds is the Kirkstall Brewery Tap Room. Lots of old brewery bits and bobs. Great beer of course. Enjoyable.

In Leeds with our kid. First stop for us is the Highland Laddie. First visit. Very impressed. Excellent quality cask beer and great food in an attractive traditional pub. Impressed.
