The recently released Cask Finished Armagnac from Drie Fonteinen is excellent. At the Lambik-O-Droom, Lot. Smooth, full bodied and full of flavour.

Always enjoy a trip to 't Parlement in Halle. A warm welcome, friendly locals and great beers.

Good fun pairing Westvleteren beers with excellent food at (H)eerlijk, Ostend. Oysters Kilpatrick, Venison Stew and beer infused ice cream.

Believe me Horse Fillet cooked rare and Belgian Fries is a magnificent combination with De Dolle Oerbier Reserva.

Great day at Grote Dorst today. Always love trying the lambics. Boon Coigeau using old hops traditional for lambic was interesting. Donder Brews- Hardy Hurry with Quince and Sage was great. Loved the May Day blend. Thanks to my Lamic.Info friends for sharing.

Grade 2 listed Hare and Hounds Shudehill very busy at 3pm on Wednesday. As usual Joseph Holt Bitter 1849 Bitter in superb condition and only £3.50 for a pint.

Superb. Almost 8 years old Rochefort 10. Beautifuly mature, smooth, mellow and complex.

Great day in Manchester yesterday, visiting some classic pubs. Cask beer quality high. Hare & Hounds, Shudehill had the best beer of the day - superb Joseph Holt Bitter. The Old Monkey had excellent Holt Sixex & Mild, beautiful Old Peculier in the Salisbury & Landlord in the Peveril of the Peak
