Finished Kemono Teatime and MAN. Fuyuki Hayashi was already a writer I was keeping a keen eye on after Crymachina, and his latest is consistently great. A masterclass of crafting tone, balancing its cozy and sinister aspects perfectly. The final hour is a bittersweet gut punch that had me sobbing.

The big flashback in the Demon Slayer movie in the manga is two chapters (38 pages) and is over 30 minutes of screentime. Look Back is a one shot manga (144 pages) and the entire film is 60 minutes including opening logos and credits... Insanity

1 month till This Monster Wants to Eat me anime! Yuri manga tend to not have great anime/usually only get a season, so I'm cautious. But everything from the promos looks amazing. As a fan of the manga I hope the show does it justice. It's a raw and powerful depiction of depression/suicide.

Assassin's Blade Chronicles ZA demo didn't alleviate all of my concerns from the trailers, but had fun and at the very least see a more cohesive vision for overall direction. The Combat Zones portion of the Pokemon demo in particular felt like a mid 2010 Ubislop game, and that makes my brain happy.

Kirby Air Riders was the first thing I did at PAX. Holy shit I can't gush about City Trial enough. A nostalgic brain blast that feels exactly how I remember the og to be. Bummed how the final challenge splitting the group tho. The rest of the game can be ass but as long as this is good it'll be peak
