My short films are screening as part of the 70th Cork International Film Festival tonight! Part of the Free Radicals programme at 9pm, The Arc. Hope to see some of you there.

Nicole Kidman in DOGVILLE (2003), a film by Lars von Trier. I vividly remember working at the Kino Cinema in Cork when we screened this. Due to its length we had an intermission and used the intermission card from THE LORD OF THE RINGS (with that distinctive font) borrowed from another theatre.

Pier Paolo Pasolini was murdered on 2nd November 1975. Here he is during the production of his last film: SALÒ, OR THE 120 DAYS OF SODOM (1975).

THE LAST BOY SCOUT (1991) is one of my favourite Tony Scott films. It’s hyperbolic as only a Scott picture could be: stylish, witty and incredibly violent with a world weary Bruce Willis paired up with a cocky Damon Wayans plus ample support from Chelsea Field, Danielle Harris and Halle Berry.

We had a great evening at Triskel Arts Centre last night hosting a double bill of James Glickenhaus films: THE EXTERMINATOR (1980) and BLUE JEAN COP aka SHAKEDOWN (1988). Wonderful to have Neil Jackson over to discuss the movies with me, it was a memorable event.
