No, you can’t compare the Kurds to Bin Laden. One, despite Trump’s best efforts, the Kurds are close allies of the US military in particular. Two, they’re focused on fighting Turkey and establishing a state. They don’t have the time, cash, people, or capability to target CONUS even if they wanted.

I understand the sentiment, but this is actually very common practice with the US military abroad, and wouldn’t have been done without the permission of the Kuwaiti government. Those troops were likely logistics folks. Not saying it was a good idea to be there, it wasn’t. But legally speaking, no.
