Day 364 and like Icarus the rocket foolishly soared too high and lost control of its servo guidance mechanism Last day of the weekend, last day before I go on vacation. Good times all around this weekend, mostly because we kept “Dumbass” Dave occupied with being wet #Battletech

Day 363 and of course you’d say that. You have the brain pan of a stagecoach tilter! The holiday weekend is going swimmingly here in our neck of the Deep Periphery. The taco truck is packed (snack bar is still closed) and “Dumbass” Dave is soaked in the dunk tank #Battletech

Day 362 and they drove a dump truck full of money up to my house! I’m not made of stone! Well I made it through another week and we all know what that means: it’s weekend sale time! “Dumbass” Dave can’t get into trouble because he’s parked in the dunk tank #Battletech

Day 361 and the whole reason we have elected officials is so we don’t have to think all the time Running a little behind today after cleaning up a mess with the local constabulary. “Dumbass” Dave got ahold of a Savannah Master and went tear assing through town #Battletech

Day 360 and so what you’re saying is I’m indestructible. Well we made it through Hump Day so I guess I ought to be glad that I’m one step closer to the weekend and, more importantly, one step closer to my vacation with my Word of Blake “Kerfuffle” reenactment group. #Battletech

Day 359 and put a sock in it, preppy! How much are these free burgers gonna cost me? It’s a beautiful day here in my neck of the Deep Periphery. Both the suns are shining, the Squirrel-birds are quacking, and the gravity is close to 1.0 so my bones are strong. #Battletech

Day 358 and never, ever, stop in the middle of a hoe down! Uggh, the start of a new week. Always a little hard to get motivated on a Monday but then you see you’ve got messages from several broke merc companies and you know things are gonna be ok… #Battketech

Day 357 and bring me another nicotine patch. I think there’s some room on my butt. Whew, another busy day down here at the Mech Yard. Lots of business today and we had one of the local taco trucks park next to our burnt out snack bar so everyone was happy. #Battletech

Day 356 and I, personally, am gonna spit in every fiftieth burger! What a day it’s been at the Mech Yard today. We’re now hornet free thanks to “Dumbass” Dave but since he’s got such terrible aim the snack bar is closed and will probably take a month to rebuild. #Battletech

Day 355 and whatever dignity remained in boxing is literally flying out the window. Well, it’s Friday so give yourself a round of applause for making it to the weekend. Surprised I made it myself because “Dumbass” Dave decided to use an ER flamer on a hornet’s nest #Battletech

Day 336 and if I may compliment you, that is one handsome rattlesnake you got biting your arm there. Well it’s the last day of our weekend sale. The face painter has packed up and left and “Dumbass” Dave is waterlogged. Let’s see if we can move a little more metal #Battletech

Day 334 and this thing? I got it down at the museum. It’s what the ancient Egyptians call a “souvenir” It’s Friday and sometimes we get stuff in at the Mech Yard that I really need to get rid of before anyone notices we have it. This is definitely one of those times #Battletech

In 45 days the Mech Yard is going to shut down for 2 weeks so I can take a break. I do enjoy doing this every day but by then it’s gonna be time for a little R&R and a reset. @weidbrewer.bsky.social got me started back up this last time so I’m sure he’ll remind me when my vacation is over.

Day 320 and while Governor Bailey is beloved by all 98% of the voters rate you as despicable or worse. The inflatable wacky waving tube armed guys are flapping and they’re lining up for the dunk tank. The weekend sale is up and running so come on down! #Battletech

Day 318 and look at them, smug and secure in their finery, mocking us… Well here we are, halfway through the week. You know we get a lot of strange stuff here at the Mech Yard but some days something rolls on the lot that makes you say “WTF?”. Like today… #Battletech

Day 317 and becoming a cop is not something that happens overnight. It takes one solid weekend of training to get that badge. We moved a lot of inventory over the last few days so things must really be heating up in the Deep Periphery. Bad blood is good for business #Battletech
