I wish I could make props like these all day. They're so fun. Small props like these can be hard to showcase properly. I like to add a bit of set dressing around them to help showcase how they work with the environment they're in. Change the lighting, or add a shadow from a tree for extra credit.

I made these crude sculpts and decimated for the low poly to get these nice shapes for the tree and root kits. Normal maps weren't baked, so I would go hard on the cavities. The artstyle afforded a quick turn around on assets. Unwrapping these straight was a pain though.

I really loved working on this hub for Hyper Light Breaker. It was such a fun style to pick up. I like to create these cinematic flythroughs to show the pockets of detail that help showcase the vibe of the environment
