Despite a few great character moments, I think we need to have a discussion about how some characters in #XMen97 season two have done things that were inexcusably stupid or uncharacteristically selfish.

I feel like there’s a lot of disingenuous discourse related to what’s been doing good or bad at the box office. Treating the success of Obsession and Backrooms as unprecedented, like horror doesn’t have comparable success stories going back 40 to 50 years has been fascinating to see play out.

Complaining about sex scenes in movies MIGHT be taken seriously if movies weren’t at one of their most sex scene-less periods in recent memory. 🙄

You would think the tonal shift from somber melodrama to unapologetic camp from #InterviewWithTheVampire to #TheVampireLestat would be more jarring, but dammit if it hasn’t been uncomfortable fun to watch play out. 🫢😳

As a bastard child of the 80s, I really enjoyed #MastersoftheUniverse. It’s definitely wearing its love of the 80s on its sleeve, not just in terms of the property, but that era of fantasy media in general. Adam can feel a bit “too dumb to function” at times, but still a solid character.
