Dentist & post office. The dentist, a tall, dark, and handsome 35 year old, complimented my hair clips. He said, “I like your hair clips. They’re cute.” Possibly gay? Also possibly making fun of me. I don’t care because I love compliments. My teeth looked good but more importantly, cute hair clips.

The mail carriers here wear shorts as part of their uniform year round. When it is cold (just a few days each year) they wear leggings under the shorts. I think they look so adorable with their shorts and tights. If they only had suspenders it would like like they have lederhosen. 🥰

“Social media” without friends/people sharing their lives, themselves, is not social. It is just media. It is just more advertising and people wanting to commodify you (influencers, journalists, etc.). The problem is that every platform is toxic. I keep hopping platforms and sharing, since 1994.

This afternoon’s loungewear. It got pretty warm in my sunny dining room this afternoon while I was sewing. I am a hemming machine. One more pair of pants to go before I move on to something besides hems.

Good morning ☀️ PT and then I tried Scooter’s Coffee. The Strawberry Sweetheart Mocha and mini donuts were great and the coffee was free since it was my first order on the app. 3 mini donuts only $1. The bacon and egg burrito was only so-so. Love stumbling across morning glory in parking lots. 🌸

There’s literally a straight line between Trump, Epstein, and the retaliatory lawsuits against women who came forward with allegations against celebrity men like Amber Heard and Blake Lively. They all even have the same PR folks. And yet people still refuse to see it

This indifference or enthusiasm for sexual violence is a cultural pathology born of misogyny, not a peculiar or unique degeneracy of the rich. You know people who have responded to rape like that.

I understand the reasons why it’s more jarring and consequential to see it happen among billionaires, but the kind of shrugging disinterest or impishly approving encouragement of sexual abuse among Epstein’s circle is the same dynamic that happens in less powerful milieus.

Every time a new round of “AI generated whatever” hits the internet (now it is work caricatures??) I find yet more “friends” to unfollow.

Our favorite Ciccio’s Cali quit making tacos because they were too popular (???) so we haven’t been getting tacos for take out recently. But tonight we tried Casita Taqueria, which was pretty good. I still miss the Spicy Brazilian chicken tacos from Cali though. #stpeteeats #tacotuesday
